Prix, Lewis will take a bow as Goodwood revs up for a hero’s welcome from his
fans to help celebrate his greatest race to date at this coming weekend’s Festival
of Speed on Sunday 13 July. |

EAGERLY-AWAITED SCIROCCO SPORTS COUPÉ AVAILABLE TO ORDER NOW
Customers keen to
be among the first to drive away a new Scirocco can officially add
their names to the waiting list as the car becomes available to order
at Volkswagen Retailers  across the UK today. Prices for the new car,
which goes on sale on 1 September, have also been announced and start
at £20,940 RRP on the road for the launch model, the Scirocco GT
2.0-litre TSI with 200 PS. |

Silverstone to co-ordinate pan-European Nissan GT-R customer drive experience
A new
manufacturer logistics division of Silverstone Circuits has been chosen
to create and manage a groundbreaking pan-European customer drive
experience for the new Nissan GT-R.
Silverstone
International will run a ‘best in class’ drive experience for buyers of
Nissan’s eagerly awaited GT-R supercar at Silverstone and Germany’s
Nurburgring, for UK and European customers respectively. Instructors
and operational staff from the British Grand Prix circuit will
co-ordinate and manage the events at both venues.
With a strong
order book for the car already, Nissan will invite customers to get
first hand experience of the technology and capabilities of the GT-R
within a controlled environment.
With an emphasis
on enhancing driver skills to match the performance of the Nissan GT-R,
Silverstone instructors will mentor customers in all aspects of road
and race-craft. The end goal is to ensure entertaining and responsible
driving in all conditions. |

SEAT’S NEW SALOON WILL BE CALLED ‘EXEO’
The name of
SEAT’s new entrant in the important upper-medium market (whose
protagonists include the Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Vectra) is today
revealed as ‘EXEO’.
Pronounced
‘Ex-ay-o’, the newcomer is scheduled to go on sale in 2009, and is a
prime example of the Spanish brand’s intention to expand into new
market segments.
The SEAT EXEO is
an elegant, dynamic saloon boasting exceptionally high quality and
outstanding technology which together accurately reflect SEAT’s
personality – design, sportiness and liveliness.
Faithful to SEAT’s Mediterranean roots, the new designation stems from the Latin word exire,
which means ‘to go beyond’ or ‘to go further’. The name differs from
all other current SEAT model denominations, and is symbolic of the
beginning of a new period for the company. The successful names of
SEAT’s current models will be maintained. |
