HAMILTON TO CELEBRATE HIS HOME
GRAND PRIX VICTORY AT THE GOODWOOD
FESTIVAL OF SPEED
Hot on the tyre tracks of
Lewis Hamilton’s sensational victory at last weekend’s Santander British Grand
Prix, Lewis will take a bow as Goodwood revs up for a hero’s welcome from his
fans to help celebrate his greatest race to date at this coming weekend’s Festival
of Speed on Sunday 13 July.
Unlike Grand Prix circuits, at
the Festival of Speed many fans may be able to get up close to Lewis and personally
pass on their congratulations to him on winning the British Grand Prix in
extremely challenging conditions at Silverstone last Sunday.
One very lucky Festival visitor
will have the chance to get extremely close to Lewis, with the unique
opportunity to passenger with him as he drives up the Goodwood hill in a
Mercedes-McLaren SLR Roadster. This fortune passenger will be anyone 18 or
over that has purchased, or is about to buy, a Sunday ticket to the Festival of
Speed. A ticket stub will be pulled out at random by Lord March, and whoever
has the corresponding ticket number will be advised and get top travel up the
hill with Lewis Hamilton as his or her chauffeur!
Festival of Speed founder Lord March says, “We are all looking forward to a really fabulous weekend with Lewis here. His
Silverstone race was the greatest drive of his career so far, and I am
absolutely delighted that he is coming to Goodwood to celebrate this famous
victory and join-in the party atmosphere with his fans, especially the lucky
winner of the drive up the hill with him.”
To coincide with the appearance of Lewis Hamilton at the
Festival, Goodwood has been able to release a few more entry tickets, available
strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. These tickets are available
immediately, but are liable to be snapped up rapidly.
The Festival of Speed’s unique ability to attract the top
works Formula 1 teams is one of its key strengths, with six F1 teams confirmed,
as listed below. Nowhere else in the world can motor racing enthusiasts get so
close to the latest and greatest cars and drivers.
